Agronomy in Benin: A Path Towards Food Sovereignty

Agriculture plays a major role in the economic and social development of Benin. In the face of challenges related to food production, land development, and the transformation of the agricultural sector, developing qualified skills has become a strategic priority.
The Agronomy programme at IFSILA responds to this need by providing training oriented towards the realities and requirements of the agricultural sector.
The programme aims to develop students’ skills and prepare them to contribute to agricultural development, make effective use of available resources, and participate in addressing local challenges.
It also promotes the development of modern and sustainable agricultural practices adapted to local realities.
Through this programme, IFSILA seeks to contribute to the development of professional skills needed for modern agriculture and to the building of a more resilient economy.
